Dr. Maryam Mohammadkhani

Dr. Maryam Mohammadkhani is a retired pathologist. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from University of California Irvine, and her Medical Doctoral degree from University of Southern California School of Medicine.

Elected to the board in 2021, her current term expires in 2024

Landon McCarter

Since McCarter started campaigning for a school board seat in the April 2 election, he has discussed his family’s roots in the school district. He’s a Kickapoo graduate, and he and his wife’s three kids all attend Springfield Public Schools.

“To me, the classroom environment and the distractions and the amount of things that we’re asking these teachers to do besides teach is becoming overwhelming,” he said. “And I think that these teachers are going to other districts, and they’re finding classrooms that are a little bit more under control from behavioral issues, and disciplinary (issues).”

Dr. Chad Rollins

Dr. Chad Rollins is a husband, a father to 7 children, a pharmacist, and a fitness advocate. He attended Missouri State where he received a BS in Chemistry and UMKC-Pharmacy School where he received his Pharm D.

"With regards to education, I want to focus on academic achievement and address the environment in the classroom. When talking to teachers about issues and reasons why teacher retention is decreasing, all mention the classroom environment. We need to help these teachers with consequences for poor behavior and look at implementing a cell phone policy for our district."
